Out of the 13 provinces and territories in Canada, 11 operate their PNPs, except [Quebec Immigration](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/quebec-immigration/) and the territory, Nunavut.  The PNPs encourage the provinces to nominate applicants for provincial nomination based on their unique selection criteria to meet the shortages and demands of the local labor markets. This way, provinces and territories can ensure their economic growth and sustainability.  Over the next 3 years, PNPs are expected to add 80,000 new immigrants by 2023. Most PNPs offer at least one immigration stream aligned with the [federal Express Entry system](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry/). They are known as [Enhanced PNP Streams](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry-pnp/).  ## **How Did the Express Entry Aligned PNP Streams Perform in July 2021?** The IRCC has been conducting bi-weekly draws from the Enhanced PNP stream since the beginning of this year. During July 2021, the IRCC conducted 2 [Express Entry draws](https://www.myvisasource.com/blog/express-entry-latest-draw-updates) targeting applicants to these Enhanced PNP streams. On July 7, the IRCC invited 627 applicants, while on July 27, another 462 applicants were invited to apply for provincial nominations.  Compared to June, these draws were comparatively low. However, the sizes of the draws this year have been record-breaking and the CRS score requirement has been falling throughout the year. Overall, the IRCC has invited almost 100,000 applicants through these draws this year. ## **An Overview of All the Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) Involved in July 2021** ### **Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP):**  The [OINP](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/ontario-oinp/) conducted a total of 5 draws in July 2021. A total of 2,907 applicants were invited. 1. July 7: The OINP issued 21 invitations to applicants interested in applying for the [Entrepreneur Stream](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/ontario-oinp/entrepreneur-stream/).  2. July 13: The OINP invited a total of 1,685 applicants to the [Foreign Worker](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/ontario-oinp/employer-job-offer-stream/#foreign-worker-stream) and [International Student](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/ontario-oinp/employer-job-offer-stream/#international-student-stream) streams under the [Employer Job Offer](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/ontario-oinp/employer-job-offer-stream/) category.   3. On July 15: The OINP conducted its first-ever PNP draw from the [In-Demand Skills stream](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/ontario-oinp/employer-job-offer-stream/#in-demand-skills-stream) and invited a total of 55 applicants.  4. On July 21: The OINP invited 115 applicants to the [French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry-pnp/ontario/french-speaking-skilled-worker-stream/).  5. A total of 329 invitations were sent for provincial nomination to the applicants to the [Alberta Express Entry](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry-pnp/alberta/) stream with a minimum required CRS score between 300 - 301 points. This was a significant change from the last couple of months when regular PNP draws were conducted biweekly. ### **Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP): ** The [SINP](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/saskatchewan-sinp/) held 4 PNP draws in July 2021. All 4 draws were conducted for applicants to the [Saskatchewan Express Entry](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry-pnp/saskatchewan/) and [Occupations In-Demand](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/saskatchewan-sinp/international-skilled-worker-category/) sub-categories of the [International Skilled Worker Category](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/saskatchewan-sinp/international-skilled-worker-category/). A total of 570 invitations were sent for provincial nomination. The number of invitations issued this month was 255 more than the last month. ### **Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP):**  The [MPNP](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/manitoba-mpnp/) conducted only 3 draws in July 2021. A total of 1,792 applicants were invited. On July 7 and July 29, the MNP invited 375 and 277 applicants, respectively to the following three immigration streams: - [Skilled Workers in Manitoba](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/manitoba-mpnp/skilled-worker-immigration-stream/#skilled-workers-in-manitoba) (MPNP) - [Skilled Workers Overseas](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/manitoba-mpnp/skilled-worker-immigration-stream/#skilled-workers-overseas) (MPNP) - [International Education Stream](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/manitoba-mpnp/international-education-stream/) (MPNP)  - [Express Entry](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry/) In the second record-breaking draw, the MPNP invited 1,140 applicants to the Skilled Workers Overseas stream from the Express Entry pool on July 27, 2021. ### **British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP):**  The [BC PNP](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry-pnp/british-columbia/) conducted 4 PNP draws during July 2021. A total of 885 invitations were issued to the applicants of the [BC PNP Skills Immigration](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/british-columbia-bcpnp/bc-skills/) and the [BC PNP Express Entry](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry-pnp/british-columbia/) (EEBC) categories under the BC PNP. The province also announced the temporary suspension of the [Base Category](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/british-columbia-bcpnp/entrepreneur-immigration/#base-category) under the [BC PNP Entrepreneur Stream](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/british-columbia-bcpnp/entrepreneur-immigration/) on Jul 19, 2021. ### **Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP):**  The [PEI PNP](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/prince-edward-island-peipnp/) held 1 PNP draw in July 2021. A total of 181 applicants were invited from the [PEI PNP Express Entry](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/permanent-residence/express-entry-pnp/prince-edward-island/), the [Labour Impact Category](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/prince-edward-island-peipnp/labour-impact-category/) (PEI PNP), and the [Business Impact Category](https://www.myvisasource.com/canadian-immigration/provincial-nominee-program/prince-edward-island-peipnp/business-impact-category/).
