The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) offers a collection of immigration streams aligned with the federal Express Entry system for foreign skilled workers who wish to live and work in the province.
The British Columbia Express Entry aligned streams provide faster processing of permanent residency applications for foreign workers.
Applicants must be eligible for a provincial nomination from the province to qualify for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency to the government body of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
What Are the Different Immigration Streams Offered Under the BC PNP - Express Entry (EEBC)?
If you wish to apply for Express Entry aligned streams offered under the BC PNP, then you must qualify for 1 of the 3 Federal Economic Immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker, the Federal Skilled Trades or the Canadian Experience Class.
You can qualify for 1 of the 4 streams offered under the EEBC:
Skilled Worker Category (EEBC): The Express Entry aligned Skilled Worker (EEBC) offers an immigration pathway for skilled workers in occupations classified as NOC code 0 (management jobs), A (professional jobs) or B (technical jobs or tradespeople) with a valid job offer from a designated employer in the province.
You will also be required to qualify for 1 of the Federal Economic immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker, Federal Skilled Trades or Canadian Experience Class. You will also be required to have at least 2 years of work experience related to your occupation.
International Graduate (EEBC): The International Graduate (EEBC) is aligned with the Federal Express Entry system. It offers an immigration pathway for international graduates from designated learning institutions and a valid job offer.
Applicants must also qualify for 1 of the 3 federal economic programs. Applicants must also meet the additional language and educational requirements.
Healthcare Professional (EEBC): The Healthcare Professionals (EEBC) is an Express Entry aligned immigration pathway for foreign workers in healthcare professionals with a valid job offer and at least 2 years of work experience.
Applicants must also be eligible for 1 of the 3 federal economic programs. Applicants will be required to meet the language and settlement funds requirements to qualify for provincial nomination.
International Post-Graduate (EEBC): The Express Entry-aligned International Post-Graduate (EEBC) offers an immigration pathway for international graduates with a Master’s or PhD degree to qualify for permanent residency without a valid job offer.
Applicants must graduate from a designated learning institution in British Columbia from an approved study program to qualify.
Applicants must also meet the eligibility criteria for 1 of the 3 federal economic programs.
Once they receive the provincial nomination, they will also receive an invitation to apply for permanent residency.
