Charlottetown is the capital city of Prince Edward Island and also the largest city in the province with a population of around 40,000 people. Newcomers to Canada particularly enjoy the island for its small-town feel, short commutes, and low crime rates.

The University of Prince Edward Island also hosts the Atlantic Veterinary College for students across all 4 Atlantic provinces including Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
