If you are planning to immigrate to the United States, then the paperwork alone can seem overwhelming. The US immigration process involves long and complicated steps and requires an in-depth understanding of the process to submit a successful application.

Processing is another nightmare. The waiting period can take up to years, this results in frequent questions about how to expedite your application process. There is no direct way to expedite your application process, however, there are exceptions and situations that will speed up the process.

Here Are 5 tips to Expedite Your US Visa Application Process and Avoid Delays

     1. Include Error Free, Additional and Complete Documentation:

Submitting your immigration application yourself means there room for error due to the complexity of the process. If you want your application to be successful until the end, you must ensure that your application is error-free. Additionally, it helps to provide supporting documentation to make sure that your application is not returned due to a lack of proper documentation.

If your application lacks all the necessary documentation, then the USCIS will issue you a Request for Evidence (RFE). This does not mean that your application is rejected. Sometimes, forms are updated, meaning that you have to verify that your application is not outdated.

     2. Pay for Premium Processing:

As a foreign worker, you have the option to pay for the premium processing of your application within 15 days. If your application is not processed within 15 days, your payment will be refunded. To apply for premium processing, you must file a Form I-907 or Form I-129.

     3. Make a USCIS Service Request:

Your application could be delayed for several reasons. Your application could be delayed or simply lost in the system. It is beneficial to contact the USCIS to regularly check the status of your application. However, finding any official to give complete information about your application can be difficult.

Most USCIS customer service agents can only provide you with little information. You can also contact the USCIS regional managers, however, a response is not guaranteed.

     4. Request Expedited Processing:

  • If you are experiencing a unique situation, you can request expedited processing without paying for premium processing. Your request will be considered if:

  • You are experiencing severe financial hardship provided that your financial loss is not a direct result of your failure

  • It is in the US government's interest including any urgent case for the Department of Defense or DHS or other national security interests

  • Clear USCIS error

     5. Find an Experienced and Reputable US Immigration Attorney:

Immigration is not an easy process to navigate and seeking professional help can increase your chances of success.

US Immigration lawyers are well versed in the rules, policies, regulations and laws of US immigration and will get you specialized help based on your unique situation.
