    Sponsorship inquiry

Posted by SBOC on Oct 29, 2014 3:20:24 PM

I would like to sponsor my father, I’m not currently employed, but I understand my wife can apply as a co-signer. Last February she sponsored her parents and she can still co-sponsor my father because she has the required income to support all acquired dependents. My question is if her parent´s application will be affected or delayed if she applies next March for my father or my father´s application will be a separate application? I think an immigration lawyer is needed here.

I would like to apply in the near future to immigrate to Canada under self-employed program but I am slightly confused which occupation/job title to choose. I'd like to ask a Canadian immigration lawyer some questions because I am currently self-employed freelancer, I specialize in video editing, motion graphics, but I also do and I am quite good at photo editing/retouching and web design. Are there streams that accommodate these artistic skill sets?

Can a person on tourist visa work "cash jobs" without a work permit? Do I need to talk with an immigration lawyer about this?

I'm from Spain and was planning on applying for a Canadian visa to visit my girlfriend. I had originally thought of using immigration lawyers in Vancouver but I'm not sure. Is putting 3 or 4 months on the 'Duration of Stay' in the application recommended or do you feel this may result in a rejected application?

Is this the route you'd recommend or would another form be more applicable? Never thought I'd need a Toronto immigration lawyer but here I am!
