Are there restrictions on U.S. citizens who want to take on a part-time job while visiting Canada? I am going to be in Canada for the Toronto Film Festival and was planning to stay in the country for a couple of months after. I enjoy picking up occasional jobs in the service industry, computer work and freelance. It would be a great financial benefit to be able to take on the odd job. Not sure if I need a Canadian immigration lawyer to help me with the financial stuff.

Are there a high number of international students who eventually stay in Canada once they finish their degrees? Would a university degree earned in Canada help your case if you wanted to become a permanent resident? Might need help of Vancouver immigration lawyers because I was thinking of staying in BC.

I have always wanted to immigrate to Canada. And, after doing some research I am considering immigrating to Prince Edward Island as an investor. What is the minimum investment one must be able to produce to qualify? I'd like to make an appointment with an immigration lawyer. Best to do the job properly.

I have signed on to do consultation for a Vancouver based IT company. This will require me to move to British Columbia for the next 6 - 8 months. It is possible to obtain a visitor’s visa under these circumstances? Any openings for a booking with one of your Vancouver immigration lawyers in the next few weeks?

My citizenship application had to abandoned due to my inability to appear before a judge. Unfortunately my father was sick at the time and I had to leave the country to attend to him. I am going to re-apply and have all the necessary documents. Is there still a chance for receiving RQ or to see a judge? Is it worth seeing an immigration lawyer or can I do this on my own?

I run a small IT based business. I am in need of an IT expert with many different skills.Currently I employed several individuals through oDesk and other outsourcing medium. It is not helping me as I need someone to run my office and do the same job .I am finding it very hard to match someone with the requirements that I am after. I am thinking to get someone from overseas. I know i need to apply for LMIA in order to find an overseas employee. My questions are as follows..
    1) How old the company should be before applying for LMIA?
    2) As a brand new company can I apply for LMIA?
    3) How many LMIA can i apply for as i need at least two highly skilled individuals (any restrictions on number of LMIA)?
    4) How much money the business should generate in order to apply for LMIA?
